Volkswagen Group hands over 9.93 million vehicles in 2015


THE Volkswagen Group has delivered over 9.93 million vehicles to customers worldwide in 2015. Mathias Müller, CEO of Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft says, “Delivering almost ten million vehicles is an excellent result, particularly in view of the continued challenging market situation in some regions as well as the diesel issue in the final quarter of last year.”

With 3.43 million customers in Western Europe took possession of a new vehicle from the Volkswagen Group in 2015, making a rise of 4.8 percent and positive delivery situation in Germany at 4.0 percent.

On other market in Western Europe, the Volkswagen Group receives strong increase in Spain (+16.1 percent) and Italy (+8.8 percent). The tense in Russia however has impacted the deliveries with 36.8 percent in decline.

Meanwhile in North America, the company also recorded a growth of 1.2 percent. However, at -29.8 percent, the Group’s delivery in South America region continues to fall.
