Petron recently launched the first and only RON 100 premium gasoline in the Malaysian market, known as Blaze 100 Euro 4M. With a 100 RON, the highest in Malaysian market, Blaze 100 Euro 4M has an exceptional resistance to ‘engine knocking’ which could damage car engines. Engine knocking is a result of lower RON fuel used in high compression engines.
Pn Faridah Ali, Head of Retail says, “the launch of Petron Blaze 100 Euro 4M is part of our promise to Malaysian motorists to introduce innovative fuel and services. This revolutionary fuel takes their ‘Petron exerience’ to a whole new level by ensuring optimum engine performance and better mileage.”
Formulated with Tri-Activ, the high performance fuel provides excellent engine response with optimum power and acceleration. The high performance fuel also meets Euro 4M specifications and is ideal for modern turbocharged vehicles which utilises a higher compression ratio.
According to Minister of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism, YB Dato’ Seri Hamzah bin Zainudin, the high performance fuel is locally-produced at its Port Dickson Refinery plant. “It proves that our local engineers are capable of processing and producing high quality fuel products,” he added.
With the introduction of RON 100, performance cars such as previous-gen Suzuki Swift, VW Golf GTi, Honda Civic Type R and Renault Megane RS can now run to their actual potentials. Priced at RM 2.80 per litre, the fuel will be available at selected Petron stations in the Klang Valley area. Customers who want opt for Blaze 100 Euro 4M would need to look for a silver-coloured fuel nozzle.
To launch the high octanne Ron 100 fuel, Dato’ Seri Hamzah then proceeded to a pump to fuel up the first car to be officially powered with the high performance fuel, a Porsche 911 (991) GT3 RS. Also present was Tengku Djan, refueling a Lotus Exige V6, among other Lotus and Porsche Owners Club members.
