A collaboration between Perodua and Majlis Keselamatan Negara (MKN), the national disaster relief coordinator, has seen RM40,000 worth of emergency supplies being distributed to flood victims in Kelantan and Terengganu.
“Since our initial cooperation began on 19 December, we have fully distributed emergency items to the evacuees in the worst hit areas in both Kelantan and Terengganu,” said Datuk Aminar Rashid Salleh, Perodua president and chief executive officer.
Perodua offered much needed items such as sleeping bags, food and fresh water to MKN to be distributed in affected areas.
“We have also committed our volunteers to assist in cleaning damaged homes in one of the worst floods to hit the country,” added Aminar.
In addition, we have performed “solat hajat” and “doa Selamat” earlier this week in seeking God’s assistance to deliver us from this disaster and we will perform them again in the near future,” Aminar said.
Additionally, Perodua is also offering assistance to all Perodua vehicle owners whose vehicles were damaged by the floods.
The services include a reimbursement on towing charges up to a maximum of RM100 to the nearest Perodua service outlet towing, a 20 per cent discount on selected parts and free inspections to determine the amount of damage done to the vehicle. The parts eligible for the discount include all electronic items, carpet, vehicle seats, door trims and engine overhaul gasket.
Perodua customers whose vehicles were damaged during the recent floods are encouraged to call the Perodua toll free customer care line at 1800-88-6600 for assistance.
