Malaysian bikers wil be spoiled for choice in this market segment with this most recent announcement.
With the recent Dakar win that gave Toby Price his 2016 Dakar Motorcycle title, KTM Malaysia seems unperturbed with the recent market sentiments with this unveiling.
Pravin Menon, Marketing Manager of Eurotech Wheel Distribution Sdn Bhd, is especially keen to mention the price of the bike reasserting the fact that there is completely no difference between the CBU models vs the CKD ones.
KTM Malaysia sold 30 units of the CBU bikes when it was introduced in late 2015. The first owners of the KTM1050 led by KMOG (KTM Motorcycles Owners Group) member Tan Kuan Aik from Alor Setar along with 17 others flew to Austria to pick up their bikes accomplishing a Europe ride for the group at the same time.
KTM Malaysia acknowledged these owners in a simple presentation for KMOG members during the unveiling of the CKD model in Sri Hartamas on Saturday.
