Four years after the launch of the original Honda Wave Dash, Boom Siew Honda (BSH) officially let loose the updated and now fuel-injected Honda Wave Dash FI fuel with improvements to power, fuel economy and safety.
Safety add-ons include winkers and reflectors at the rear and a position light at the front, improving visibility at night and low light conditions. The chrome muffler cover additionally protects against burns from the exhaust pipe.
“Racing Absolute” is the tagline for this updated underbone bike with the Type R – Repsol Edition decked out in the famous orange, red and white colours.
With fuel injection, BSH claims five percent more power and a consumption figure of 58.7km/litre. This is a 12 percent improvement, and with the eight percent larger fuel tank – now 4.0L – the total cruising range has been increased by an impressive 21 percent.
The single front disk brake Type S, twin-disk brake Type R and twin-disk Type R – Repsol Edition are sticker-priced at RM5,299, RM5,549 and RM5,699 respectively excluding GST with two-year/20,000km warranty whichever comes first.
Besides the Repsol Edition-exclusive Luminous Orange, the Type S and Type R are available in Vivacity Red, Vital Blue Metallic and Pearl Magellanic Black.
