British meet to discuss new technologies and road safety

BRITAIN’S Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety (PACTS) conference on October 22 at Thatcham Research will bring together vehicle technology experts and policy makers to explore how new technologies (driverless, driver assist and others) can best be exploited to reduce crashes, achieve casualty reductions and to improve safety for all road users.
Delegates will have the opportunity to view new technologies and to hear and question experts.
The conference is timely for the British government’s review of regulations for driverless cars and the Transport Select Committee’s Motoring of the future inquiry. It will be chaired by Professor Pete Thomas, Loughborough University.
