Proton have announced that Bank Muamalat Malaysia, AmBank Bhd and Maybank have provided a cessation of up to six months on affected customers’ monthly instalments or repayments and a one-off waiver relating to late payment or penalty charges.
This will provide a relief for affected Proton car owners and their families, particularly those who need to allocate their funds for their rebuilding efforts during this post-flood period.
However, customers affected by the floods are required to directly contact the respective banks and send in their request as soon as possible so that the banks are alerted of their situation and not impose any penalties for late repayment.
Proton’s team of volunteers involving employees from the headquarters and branches at the East Coast are currently on their second round of flood relief assistance on the field, under the Groupwide initiative by its parent company, DRB-HICOM.
They will assist in the cleanup of schools in Tanah Merah, Kelantan and presentation of essential items in Temerloh, Pahang until tomorrow.
