Japanese automotive parts maker Tokai Rika will be constructing a 2.7 billion Yen (RM 107.9 million) plant for its Indonesian subsidiary P.T. Tokai Rika Indonesia (TRI) in Bekasi, West Java, Indonesia.
TRI currently operates an existing plant in Bekasi.
The construction of TRI's new plant will start in July 2012 and is expected to complete by April 2013. The plant will employ 400 people by 2015.
TRI's new plant will be manufacturing automotive switch products (multi-function switches, power window switches, and others）and security products (key sets, steering lock assemblies, and others).
Tokai Rika is a Toyota affiliated company. P.T. Toyota Tsuho Indonesia has 3.5 percent stake in P.T. Tokai Rika Indonesia while Toyota Tsuho owns 6.5 percent with the remaining owned by parent company Tokai Rika Co. Ltd.
