This is the first undisguised unofficial shot of Proton's latest sedan, the P3-21A. The car's name has not been announced.
Launch date is expected to be sometime around March.
We are curious as to how will this car be positioned. There isn't a very big gap between the RM 59k Persona H-Line and RM 79k Inspira 1.8 Manual.

peter..
it's way better than city and vios for sure..
it's better than forte..
it's better than altis..
it's much-much better than sentra..
i don't know what car u drive, but rich guys never bothered to give such comments on local's blogs, coz they got better things to do..
so i guess u just an ordinary guy that like to bash on autoblogs..
i don't think u have a nice ride either..
not even a prince powered car.. -_-'
Looks good so far, hope its comes with CFE engine, CVT with 6,7 or 8 speed paddle shift since its cvt. Size I hope would be in the civic/altis/sentra category.
Peter is just a DUMB guy just playing smart one, study the specs n u see the different.. I'm working with proton n know this car a lot better spec than any car in the road, comparing the price with others?
Apia..., and
How'bout the quality? if better specs but within 3 years everything worn out and everything is plastics I'm really feel sad...why? I own Gen2 and other ordinary foreign car and my Gen2 no matter how hard I try to maintain it still the quality is not up to par
I will be inclined to agree with both Peter and Lalita.
For years Proton has been trudging along with not much to actually show except models like the work horse Iswara, Satria and Perdana. Proton has all the engineering facility & knowhow, and yet they choose to hold back by not giving the best.
My Iswara of 12yrs has travelled more than 300,000 km without once being laid by the roadside. My friends who owned Satria GTi and Neo topped 220kmh with Motul 5W-30 Power Racing oils & Bosch Iridium plugs. And my colleague's Perdana SEi hasn't given him any major headaches since he bought new.
For Peter, yes, there's not much to shout about compared to other cars. Now if they came with 6-speed minimum, I wouldn't be surprised at the sales. But then again, would R3 be giving us a package as an option for those who want some more excitement.?
Lalitla's wants are comfort - and rightly so, I mean who wouldn't want to be comfortable while drivin - not to mention fuel efficientcy and other what-nots.
Me.? -I'm just waiting the day Proton can give me a Perdana with higher cc and 6-speed gears..now that's gonna turn my attention back to Proton. I need more acceleration than my 740 & 940 Volvos..
So you see, different leaves come from different trees..
Happy motoring..!
This car comes with a pre-set 6-speed paddle shifters (pre-set, as it is a CVT tranny).
It has traction control, possibly 6 airbags, touch screen double DIN sat nav, multi info display and multilink suspension for the rear.
Of course some say the Vios is still a better car. What do we know about cars compared with them bashers, right? Hahahah!
For each launching of their cars, Proton always hype their product, to the extent of accepting bookings for their cars that are not even seen by the public. Most time its more hype than anything. Is it any wonder why theres always sceptics when it comes to Proton???
